    SAS in the House

Sandbach Allotment Society - along with Home Grown in Holmes Chapel, and the Congleton Sustainability Group - were mentioned in Parliament by local MP, Fiona Bruce, during the Food Prices and Food Poverty debate, on the evening of 23 January.

Bruce was pointing out that people on low incomes often have the lowest intakes of fruit and veg, and that the simple skill of growing food has been lost over the past couple of generations. She highlighted the need for people to develop and share skills, and for more opportunities for people to grow their own, hence the need for more land, and more initiatives like Sandbach Allotment Society.
